When a dishwasher is washing does it fill completely with water?

Does the unit completely fill with water to clean the dishes or is it just streams/jets of water that clean the dishes? When a dishwasher is washing does it fill completely with water?
streams and jets squirt on the dishes. it does not fill up.When a dishwasher is washing does it fill completely with water?
No. The water only covers the bottom of the tank with about 2-3 inches of water. The pump forces the water into the wash arms and it sprays out forcefully. As the water sprays out it also causes the wash arms and spray arms to rotate spraying the water forcefully onto the dishes and all over the inside of the tank. The water is then pumped out of the machine and refilled to the same level. When the detergent dispenser opens it sprays the detergent and it dissolves into the water and then sprays the soapy water onto the dishes then this water is pumped out and more water enters rinsing the dishes. Depending which cycle is selected the amount of times the machine fills and empties will vary.

. Yep you are.
That is the funniest question I think I have heard...haven't you ever opened the door to throw in that last utensil, or plate?? That would be a messy clean up if it filled all the way!
No. The bottom part below the door is the only place that fills with water. Just open it up in mid wash and you'll see.
Look inside and see!

It fills to just below the lip at the bottom of your door. It then sucks that water into the pump and sprays it out the various nozzles to clean your dishes.
It fills completely with water. When my jacuzzi has leaves in it I just use the dishwasher!
no
maybe it do, and maybe it don,t. da only way to know for sho is to replace the door with the door on your oven that has the w indow in it. be VERY CAREFUL when connecting the oven light.in case the door don,t perexactly fit you might have to borrow a small chain saw with a door cutting chain to trim it.
My dishwasher has 2 jet sprayers that the water comes out of, which then sprays the dishes. It works pretty good. No food left on anything.
it does fill up with water...the jets hit the dishes ';hoping'; they will hit every spot...
No, it is like a hot sprinkler system from the top and bottom only in hard jet streams to knock the food loose. Just so you know, you can open the door while it is running and water will not come pouring out, there will be steam though.
no
Me no know stick your head inside and see
i think just the streams of water, atleast thats what they show on commercials
The answer is no. It is just streams and jets of water. Soapy water then rinse.
