Help me please with fabric type in mind what type of fabric can be handwashed with cool water and in a mild detergent? (cotton, polyester, acrylic, etc..)Which was can be washed in cold water????
90% of fabrics can be washed in cold water! Some of those fabrics require a short-gentile cycle with NO bleach! Bleach will stain Polyester yellow! Acrylics demand no heat drying. Most printed undergarments need to be air-dryed after a soft-water wash in a soft-water solution. Nylon and satin knits respond excellent to softwater washes as well as silk fabrics. Air dry!Which was can be washed in cold water????
Any fabric should be fine but most garments have washing and care instructions on the label. If you have bought a length of fabric from a store than washing and care should have been on the price ticket/label too.
I do all me washing in cold water with a cold water detergent.
The only fabrics which will need special care are wool and silk.
