Yes! If you want to recycle the water from your dehumidifer why not water plants with it.





Wash your towels with regular detergent and add to the water/detergent.... 1 Cup of regular baking soda... Run the cycle and use an extra rinse cycle yout towels should be fine.. Dry promptly..

It is possible that your dehumidifier water has mold in it and that is causing your problem. It is more likely that you once let the washed towels sit in the wash machine too long after they are washed and before you dried them.





Unfortunately, once they get the moldy smell, it is darn near impossible to get rid of it.

The musty smell could be caused by the towels and dish cloths staying in a warm wet place for a long enough period of time for mold %26amp; mildew to start growing. Make sure the towels %26amp; cloths are getting air circulation around them til they dry. Don't let them pile up and stay moist. Try adding about a cup of vinegar to your wash water. The vinegar %26amp; laundry soap should take care of your smelly problem.
I'm going to chime in here and say that I don't think that it would cause a musty smell. My brother had respiratory issues, so we always had a dehumidifier when I was growing up, and we used the water to water the dogs, water the plants, etc. and it always smelled just fine.
Maybe. Mold could grow in the water sitting in the dehumidifier, and then dumping it into the washing machine could cause it to grow there. Do you use really hot water to wash your towels?
Sure will. I don't understand the concept behind putting it in the washing machine. Why not just pour it down the drain?
