Is it true that if you have dyed red hair you should wash it in cool/cold water ?

It does not make any difference if it is dyed.

But if you have used a Henna product then yes...because it is a natural product that is coating the shaft of the hair.Is it true that if you have dyed red hair you should wash it in cool/cold water ?
Im always having red put into my hair and never has a hair dresser told me to wash it in cool/cold water. I wash it it hot water and nothing has ever really happened.Is it true that if you have dyed red hair you should wash it in cool/cold water ?
I usually have dyed red hair and I've never used cold water.. and my hair's in great condition! =D
yh it is cause my aunt does that!!
i have had red hair and i washed it with warm water and it always faded.after reading an article i started washing it with cooler water which helped stop the colour fading and keep it vibrant- it also made it loads shiny! they say that going a little longer between hair washed also helps keep the red in, but i've never been confident enough to leave my hair without washing it! if you wanna give it a go, try bumble and bumble hair powder, it comes in a load of different colours and its supposed to stop hair becoming greasy and lank between washes. ive never used it but ive heard it works wonders on red hair!
Yes because it comes out easily. Using hot water breaks it down (especially if you are naturally blond or bleached your hair beforehand).
yes, that's what hayley williams of paramore does.

she said ';If you dye your hair any shade of red you can attest to this: Red hair dye seems to hate us and hardly holds the way we want it to. You gotta fight for it, man! If I go 3 or 4 days between washes and only wash with color safe shampoo and freezing cold water I can usually get a good 3 weeks of vibrant colored hair.';
It will make it stay in A LOT longer, but if you wash it with warm water its not going to be damaged or anything :)

No. I've had it for 40 years and get it done at a salon and they always use hot water.
